Practical Experience: He started helping his late father / Youssef Behbehani in business in the early thirties, and he was not more than fifteen years old at that time, and specialized in the field of foreign trade as a result of his multiple business. He traveled abroad at that time, and obtained himself an official power of attorney for Omega watches, and also obtained an official power of attorney for the RCA brand for television, radio and cinema, and was the first to establish a private radio station in Kuwait in 1948 and the first to establish a private television station in Kuwait in 1951.
In 1949, he obtained a power of attorney for the American Carrier Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Company, and it was the first agency for the mentioned company outside the United States of America. He was also one of the first in Kuwait to start working in the field of foreign investments. In the 1940s, he acquired the Swiss Bank Corporation agency in the State of Kuwait. He was one of the first to introduce wireless devices in the State of Kuwait, and they were provided to police forces, hospitals, and others.
In addition to various commercial and commercial activities, he had leadership in the diplomatic field and foreign relations, as he worked as an honorary consul of the Swiss government in the State of Kuwait for more than forty years, until a consulate was opened, officially in the State of Kuwait.

The state adopted the principle of economic freedom, leaving economic activity to individual initiatives except in a few projects. Which individuals may not be able to do, but now, after the increase in the area of the country and the development of economic life, business activities are governed by the rules and legislation required by the circumstances, giving way to custom, which prevents the rigidity of the texts of laws.
The beginning of the Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait: The idea of establishing Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait began among a group of famous Kuwaiti men and senior merchants at the beginning of 1967, and the bank was established by an Emiri Decree issued on 23/05/67 to carry out all commercial banking services and operations. There was no intention to merge the Bank with other banks operating in the State of Kuwait at present.
